| | | | | | | | | How to fly easyfly-planes in AFPD? (Written and tested by Hans Wonner) | | | 1. Create a new subdirectory in the directory "Aerofly Professional Deluxe" and name it "easyfly".
2. In this new directory create two new subdirectories. Name them "aircraft" and "sound".
3. Unzip the easyfly-model to the new subdirectory "aircraft".
4. Move the sound-file (= wav-file) to the new subdirectory "sound".
Now the easyfly-model appears in the menu without preview-picture.
Compared with the "real" AFPD-models, the easyfly-models have the following restrictions:
1. There is no "weather" (wind, turbulence, thermic) for them. So there is no display in the wind rose and in the vario. But because the AFPD-3D-scenes are develloped from the easyfly-scenes, there are 3 fixed thermic regions like in the easyfly-scenes. If you find such a region, your plane will ascend, but there will be no display in the vario.
2. The ground is always smooth for easyfly-models.
3. The easyfly-planes fly through trees without crash.
4. You can´t make a video of easyfly-model-flights (but you can fly an easyfly-plane while playing a video of an AFPD-model-flight)
5, Easyfly-models have neither smoke nor exhaust nor hook.
6. You can´t use the editor.
Some easyfly-planes show the effect that parts of them are partially invisible in AFPD (you can only see the rear part of a cylinder, it looks like a tub). You can eliminate this effect: Open the obj-file. Control all the lines contenting "ambient". If the 4th number behind "ambient" is 0.99, replace it by 1.00! You can use WordPad for this task. |
