How to create a model for the

AeroFly Professional and AeroFly Professional Deluxe

This Workshop is meant (not only) for beginners!

What do we need??

MetasequoiaLE
CAD-Program to create the 3-D-model (.mqo). The LE-Version is Freeware.

Microsoft Paint
Windows-drawing tool to create and edit bitmaps (.bmp)

Ipacs-Convert-program

New version:
This program is called mqo_to_afp.exe. It will convert the .mpo file to an .obj and .tgo file. You will find it at http://www.aerofly.com/ in the member area (TOOLS) of the downloads section.
The program is free of charge, but you have to Sign-up before you can login.

Old version:
This program is called convert.exe and will create an AFP/D .obj-file out of a Metasequoia-outputfile (.suf). You can get a personalized version by giving your full name and address via email only here! This program is free of charge.

Microsoft Wordpad
Windows Text-Editor for editing and changing AFP/D-files (.obj, .tmg und .tmd)

Microsoft Excel
Windows spreadsheet program, not truly necessary, but very helpful to calculate values for the tmd file.

A 3-D-view of the airplane we want to create.
For our example we will use a simple drawing out of a book of Hinrik Schulte with the title 'Slow- and Parkflyer' .
Many thanks to him for the permission to use his drawing and description of the parkflyer ‘Deproni’.
